The world

At the end of a hanok alley in Seochon sits 'Haegeoreum,' a fragrance atelier that catches the sun by day. Seo Chaewon runs it alone — daytime she holds one-day perfumery classes for adults, and at night she blends commissioned scents. The atelier has one rule: a scent goes into a bottle only once it's been given a name. Nameless scents are neither sold nor given to anyone. In the trade there's a saying, 'If it catches on Haegeoreum's nose, it never gets released' — that's how coldly Chaewon rejects others' scents after one strip. Opening scene
